September 28 2024 - Cyprus Lakes
This tournament was canceled due to weather.
The September Monthly tournament will be held at Cypress Lakes on September 28th. This will be a two-person team with a modified Ryder Cup format. We will have tee times for this tournament starting at 10:00 am. We played this format last year at Saddle Creek and it was a lot of fun. Pick your partner and sign up now.
The format is as follows:
Holes 1-6 will be a scramble. Each player hits a drive, the team picks the best shot of the two, then both players plays from the selected ball. Repeat this process until ball is holed. Record the same score in the system for both players.
Holes 7-12 will be traditional best ball format. Each player plays their ball on each hole until holed. You will record both scores in the system.
Holes 13-18 will be a shamble alternate shot. Both players will hit tee shots and pick the best drive. After the drive, the designated player (odd or even) will hit the second shot. For example, player 1 (odd) hits the second shot on holes 13, 15, and 17. Player 2 (even) hits the second shot on holes 14, 16 and 18. Shots are then alternated until ball is holed. There is one score for the team. You will enter the same score for both players in the system.
Depending on number of teams, we may flight the tournament. Handicaps will be at 50% for the best ball portion of the tourney.
Pick your teammate and signup together or we will assign a teammate. Pay the course for your golf and pay one of tournament committe members $10 for the prize fund.
